There were some elements that worked for the clients in the original kitchen, but they wanted to be able to open-up the kitchen and increase their storage. By removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, we were able to add an island which houses their microwave drawer. During the remodeling process, they discovered they could open-up the ceiling as well, which further enhanced the space. They kept their range and hood, but added a beverage refrigerator at the angled peninsula. We removed the existing walk-in pantry and replaced it with built-in pantry cabinets with roll-out trays making the storage items easy to organize and access. The updated kitchen features Medallion Cabinetry’s Madison door style in their Chai Latte painted finish. The countertops are quartz, and the backsplash is a beveled classic subway tile. The new kitchen is inviting and functional. With island seating and bar seating, it’s perfect for entertaining and as well as cooking!
